Questions we get asked
If yours is not here, email support@growiseai.com and you will get a straight answer.
The analysis
What happens when a statement doesn't reconcile?
You are told, on the case, with the exact shortfall. The reader retries with that figure first; if it still will not balance, the file is marked rather than passed on. You can also enter the statement's own totals by hand and recalculate.
Which banks does it read?
It reads the PDF rather than relying on a per-bank template, so it is not limited to a fixed list. The balance check is what tells you whether a given statement was read correctly, which matters more than a logo on a compatibility page.
Can we correct it by hand?
Yes. Opening balance, total credits and total debits can all be entered from the statement and the analysis recalculated. The tool is there to do the work, not to overrule the person doing it.
Does it handle multiple bank accounts?
Yes — multiple accounts per case, each with its own months and totals, rolled into one view.
The AI features
Why are AI features priced separately?
Because they cost money every time they run. Charging for them separately keeps the platform price honest for teams who do not use them, and lets you grant AI to the underwriters who need it rather than the whole company.
Is merchant data used to train models?
No. Statements are sent to be read and the result comes back to your case. Nothing is used for training.
Can we stop particular staff from using AI?
Yes, and that is the default — AI is off for a new user until an admin grants it. Statement reading and Company Research are separate permissions, so you can grant one without the other.
What if the research is about the wrong company?
The brief states its identity confidence and names what it could not confirm. Business names repeat, and a confident write-up of the wrong firm is the specific failure it is built to avoid.
Working with it
Can we keep our own underwriting policy?
Yes — that is the point of the built-in cheat sheet and policy guide. Your thresholds live in the tool, admins edit them, and the calculations read from the same figures your team works to.
What does the free trial include?
The full product, including the AI add-on, so you can test it on real files. No card. We set the account up with you and load your policy.
Is there an API?
Yes. Push cases in and pull decisions out, with scoped keys and IP allow-listing.
Who can see what?
Access is per user and per feature, with group and assignment rules on top. Every permission change and case action is written to an audit log.
Run it on a file you already decided.
The fastest way to judge underwriting software is to point it at a deal you have already worked and see whether it reaches the same place — and whether it admits what it doesn't know.
